With his extensive storytelling expertise, Emil is set to introduce a fresh and compelling perspective to African comics, and we couldn’t be more thrilled.
Who Is Emil Garuba?
Emil holds a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing from the University of Central Oklahoma and is widely known for his work on:
• Tinsel, a popular Nigerian TV series
• Lionheart, Nigeria’s first Netflix Original
• 4th Republic, a critically acclaimed political drama
Emil is also the winner of the 2016 AMVCA Feature Film Award for Road to Yesterday, and a participant in prestigious industry workshops like the UK-Nigeria Script Junction and Durban Film Mart Institute Business Lab. He is the Creative Director at Sutoritera Limited, the creative force behind short films like Last Tango in Abuja.
