Join the SMcomics Family!
Thank you for your interest in becoming part of the SMcomics universe! We are thrilled to collaborate with new talents to enrich our library with African-inspired comics, animations, and visual stories.
At SMcomics, we are committed to showcasing high-quality, authentic, creator-owned content that celebrates the diversity and richness of African cultures, characters, and storytelling. We’re on a mission to redefine entertainment across the continent and beyond, and we want you to be a part of this journey.

What We’re Looking For
We welcome submissions for completed, creator-owned works across ALL genres:
- Comics Series
- Graphic Novels
- Animations
- Documentaries
- Movies
- TV Shows
We seek original, engaging narratives that will captivate audiences worldwide.
Original Content Only: We only publish creator-owned material. You keep all rights to your work. Please do not submit works based on existing characters, brands, or copyrighted material.
African Representation: Your story must feature African characters prominently. This includes characters of African heritage, African American, Afro-Asian, Afro-Arab, or general African representation.
Completed Content: Submissions should include finished work – final art, lettering, and formatting. Proposals without finished materials will not be considered.
Revenue Sharing: Our subscription-based model allows creators to earn a share of revenues based on engagement with their content. You maintain the majority of your IP rights and control how you distribute earnings among your team.
Promotion & Marketing: We’ll showcase your work on our app, promoting it to our expanding global audience.
Adaptation Opportunities: Your work could be adapted into animations, movies, or TV shows. Exclusive adaptation rights are held for up to 36 months. If no adaptation occurs, rights revert to you.
Creative Team Stability: The team in your proposal should remain consistent. Changes need approval, or you might need to resubmit your proposal.
No In-Person Submissions: Proposals handed to representatives at events will not be accepted.
Response Time: If you don’t hear back within a month, consider your submission declined. Ensure your contact details are complete.
Quality Standards: We expect high-quality work comparable to major publishers. Submissions not meeting our quality or niche will be declined.
Adaptation Rights: If no adaptation materializes within 36 months, all rights return to the creator.
SMcomics is committed to empowering creators and promoting authentic African storytelling. We provide a platform where your vision can flourish and reach millions.
